On a very special occasion in 2015, I participated in a Women’s Fire Ceremony at a family & systemic constellation workshop. The ceremony was inspired by a facilitator named Francesca Mason Boring. During the ceremony, I felt I was in touch with the sacred. With the rhyme and sound of the stomping with our feet, I experienced the altered state of consciousness. No words in my mind at the time can describe what that was. After the ceremony, I was eager to find out.
The universe always has its way to send us the answer as long as we follow the breadcrumbs. In a hypnotherapy workshop, the facilitator talked about her shamanic teacher. The word “shamanism” came into my conscious for the first time with strong energy. Right away, I had to find out if that is what I was looking for. I found the faculty member – Glenn Campbell – of the Foundation of Shamanic Studies and signed up for my first The Way of Shaman Basic Workshop. It was a life-changing workshop for me. And guess what. I found what I was looking for and learned the methodology, skills, tools and knowledge of the sacred. I have never looked back ever since.

I have been a seeker. I used to think I have to look for a perfect human teacher who can guide me in the spiritual maze. However, on my journey, I learned the fact as Paulo Coelho puts it beautifully in one of his books:
Don’t confuse the teacher with the lesson, the ritual with the ecstasy, the transmitter of the symbol with the symbol itself. The Tradition is linked to our encounter with the forces of life and not with the people who bring this about…. we ask the Mother to send us guides, and all she sends are signs to the road we need to follow.

The teachings are coming directly from the divine and human teachers are the facilitators and vessels for the sacred to come in to our ordinary life in the simplicity beyond our imagination. All we need to do is to open our eyes and sharpen our senses to perceive it.

I was born and raised in Taiwan, a beautiful island once called Formosa. It is an immigrant society with diverse cultural influences from indigenous tribes, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish and Japanese.
I moved to Canada in 2007, another immigrant society with diverse cultural influences worldwide. Currently I live in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.
